Ageas Protocol

The Portuguese Psychologists Order (OPP) and Ageas Portugal, Companhia de Seguros SA, established through Sabseg SA a protocol that allows Ageas customers start to have access to psychological consultations reimbursed by their health insurance, since contracted their coverage.

Médis Protocol


Out-of-network reimbursement - Clients pay the total amount of the consultation and send it to Médis, with 35% of the amount being reimbursed, up to a limit of 20 consultations/sessions. For clients who had insurance with Médis before February 2023, the coverage will be available from the moment their health insurance is renewed. Conditions may vary for corporate insurance clients, so we suggest confirming the conditions of the respective plan with Médis.

ADSE Protocol

On May 1, 2024, the new ADSE free regime table came into effect, finally operationalizing what was agreed years ago with the Order of Portuguese Psychologists: the end of the need for a medical prescription for reimbursement of psychologists' services. Notable improvements include the increase in reimbursement value for services (from 9.33 to 14.40 euros) and the change in the number of reimbursable services per year to a maximum of 24.

ADM Protocol

If you are beneficiary of ADM free regime, you can present the receipt, along the military services and receive a portion of the query value.

SAMS Protocol

Reimbursement for free regime psychology consultations – You should submit the following documents: medical prescription and receipts of the consultations. At the beginning of each calendar year, if the treatment is prolonged, you will need to submit an updated medical prescription.

Multicare Protocol


The value of Psychology consultations for out-of-network providers has also changed. The client (as long as insured by Multicare) now has the possibility to obtain a 50% reimbursement of a Psychology consultation, if the psychologist is not a Multicare service provider (up to an annual total of 300€).
